No line colouring

Hi friends ,
I love magnolia's Tilda because of her innocence and sheer cuteness. It's actually very easy to colour her in with alcohol markers but I wanted to try few techniques with more affordable and available colouring tools.

No line colouring is the new buzz and as I said its easy to do it with copics.
All u need to do is stamp the image with a very light inkpad instead of black and do the rest of the colouring.

I did the same technique using distress markers and I was very happy to get similar results .

Today's tutorial is a picture heavy post so sit back and follow me....πŸ˜‰

Step 1- stamp the image with desert sand ink on a water colour paper.
(Guys please zoom in to see the impression ..it's there....lol)

Step 2-  with the help of a thin brush colour all the skin with Tattered rose .
Use inward stokes so the colour lightens up towards the nose.

Step 3- add the pink blush on her cheeks with spun sugar.

Step 4- colour the hair keeping in mind her curls and shadows.

Step 5- colour the dress with two shades of purple. Add pumice stone for her pants.

Step 6- add black soot to add more depth in her pants and chef cap.

Colour the shoes with vintage photo.

Step 7- finally do the cake

Gr8!!! It's done .... Wasn't it easy friends?
To bring some glow and interst I added few faux stitched lines with white gel pen and wink of stell over her cap , shirt and cake.
But then as usual I wasn't satisfied 😝and I loaded it with glossy accents and my latest black enamel accents (by ranger) for her eyes.

Here is the final card I created using this adorable image ...

That's all from my end and I hope u have entered in the challenge# 16- Something Special hosted by my dear friend Anchal.
See ya soon...
Happy crafting!!!

List of supplies :
Tombow multi glue
Magnolia doily die
Brustro water colour paper

Altered candle

I tried to create a bouquet of flowers around my candle which looked so plain and boring initially.
How to make it -
Select the dies you want to use and die cut them on the at least 80 pound card stock.
I created a small try and made it look look like wood by using distress inks( direct to paper technique)
placed my candle offset and arranges the big rose and other tiny flowers with heat gun and glossy accents. To add a wow feel embellished it with a clock and a tiny feather.

A zoomed in pic for u ...

Flowers bring life to any project and it's super easy to create them with DIES.
There are so many of them in our store and you can pick any of them to begin with.

I used the following :

Distress inks mini #3 (Antique linen black soot, vintage photo, walnut stain)

Good morning Crafters...
Feeling very proud of my self today as I cud create a beautiful flower using a basic spellbinder die....lol
I want you all to dig in to your collection of dies and give them a new definition.
It was quite challenging and fun !!
We all hoard dies which create very specific things like a flower , border or frame...
guys now it's time to twist and turn your creativity and create wonders by rethinking about their use.
My first attempt was not that complex and i am sure lot of us have these dies...so what are we waiting for ....
Let's begin
Step 1: pick up 4 adjacent scalloped circles dies. Cut them out from your favorite paper. ( 3 each as few extras are always good to keep)

Step 2: sponge the edges with prima chalk inks to add interst .
Step 3: cut out a circle in the centre of all the precut circles . This helps in moulding the flower and to keep it flat from the base.
Step 4: cut a slit after every 3 scallops and start moulding the flower and give it some creaes and softness.

Step 5: do the same to all the layer...easy isn't it?

Step 6: by moulding bending and cupping the layers I assembled this gorgeous flower ...

Step 7: add glitter or diamond dust in top  of the flower and it will the most glamourous flower u have ever seen.😊

Now it's time to add it to your project and it will b the show stopper for sure...
I added it over a heart shaped box and it has become so attractive and pretty ..

Hope u will give this a try and do let me know what u feel about this tutorial
Have a gr8 day..

Dream house .....

The moment we decided to make a 3D scene for this month's inspiration I wanted to make a house for my favorite Tilda and Edwin.
I started by getting a cut file from my Cameo and then started building the scene around it. Each and every embellishment ,die and stamp was chosen carefully as proportion is very important. I decided to make a huge slider box ( something like a match box) which can hold chocolates with this adorable scene on top.
There is not much to talk and type about this project instead will treat ur eyes with loads of pictures from all angles so u get the idea how I created this.

LIST OF SUPPLIES USED-

Pretty peacock

Hi friends ,
The month is so colourful, festive and with nature at its best…..  I picked up few tattered lace dies and they were just the most amazing intricate dies I ever had.
Since a long time I wanted to try my hands on Inlaid die cutting technique and this peacock was just so perfect for it.
I planned a tag with the peacock as it's focal point and created a background with pretty flowers and butterflies. I like things to be proportionate so I selected the embellishments and stamps which fit in perfectly :)
To start with :
Cut the die in four colours- teal, blue, green and purple.
keep all the pieces carefully and start inlaying the pieces.
pic#1

I took a sticky sheet and placed my outline die cut (in teal ) on it.Then started placing the first colour which was purple pieces in my case and then added the blue followed by green ones.
pic#2

That's it ....rest was super easy and I created this pretty tag with this peacock.

Hope you like  it and give this super cool technique a try.
For any doubts feel free to contact me and I will be more than glad to help you...

Rosettes

Hi friends,
Today my post is a bit different . I have not done a complete project but have tried to give various ideas about my all time favourite embellishment the "ROSETTE"
Rosette is a long strip of paper which is folded like an accordion and then formed to make a flower like shape.

Basic Paper Rosette
(Pic source World Wide Web )

I wanted to make rosettes with different looks and styles.
I am sure you would be able to pick up your favorite one and do give it a try...

style #1 Shabby Chic

This style is everybody's favourite these days and most of the resources can be found easily at local craft stores.

I took a long strip of lace and formed a flat flower .added a layer of pink net and a crochet flower. That's it just add the pretty vintage lady cameo resinand ta da...the most gorgeous embilishmemt is ready to impress everyone.

Style #2 Grungy

This one is super cool and very easy to make. I selected a   patterned paper by Tim Holtz called Kraft Resist and punched it with my scalloped punch at one egde. Then formed the rosette and added the Angel wing charm and the pendant .
I stamped an image ,sticked it inside added a pearl string and filled in some Clear UTEE.

Style #3 Vintage

This one was so fun to create... I can not resist using KRAFT and pink blooms...lol!!
So I took a kraft coloured card stock ,dry embossed it withCourtyard folder and glittered  it with Star dust at the edges.
Then made a basic rosette and loaded it with micro roses andcharms (Bow charm and clock charm)
😍😍😍
Isn't it gorgeous !!!

Style # 4 Abstract

This one was an accident!!!! Lol!!!
This circular thing was not planned initially but I kept adding baker's twine and it suddenly started looking nice...
Next I added the most beautifulbird charm ,brads and few tiny flowers :)

Style # 5 CAS :)

Clean and simple is quite cute to create and there are endless options which can be added on the top.i used the big brad by Kaiser craft called
Few options can be:
Brads
Buttons
Stickers
Eyelets
Rhinestones

That's all for today's post
I hope you liked what I created.Making embellishments is always fun and I m sure you will give it a try.
Lots of love
